Jamie’s first cell phone number was 258-3442. Those of you who know my cell phone number may see some resemblance.

Plant Boy-
I tried to respond to your ‘permanent imprinting’ post, but something went wrong.
I would tell you to snap out of it, she’s not worth it. But it wouldn’t work. So, I’m doing to tell you something really depressing. What you felt (or thought you felt) was going to die, anyway. Years pass, feelings fade. Hopefully, something even better replaces them.
My last attempt at a post had a link to Keats ‘Ode to a Grecian Urn.’ What you feel in the beginning is ephemeral. It’s so powerful to keep the species going.
I really thought you would be fighting off the women after your starring appearance on the Arkansas Times. You need to give them a chance.
Hmm, not sure what’s up with the other blog entry. I think the feeling I’m trying to describe doesn’t necessarily have to be romantic love, just affection in general. When someone dies you feel grief; my theory is that that’s a form of neurochemical withdrawal. You were accustomed to specific data patterns relating to a particular person. When you’re deprived of those data patterns, you have to somehow shift back to doing without them.
I actually am fighting off the women; OK not really but I’ve got someone who I think is so right that anything else would be 2nd best.
